Jane Fonda drops the C-bomb
Thursday, February 14th, 2008 by Albert ChingI woke up this morning to an IM (yes, I go online the first thing in the morning. I am a total loser) from my friend Jef on the east coast - “Jane Fonda said, “(expletive deleted)” on the Today Show this morning, and it really made my day.”
He didn’t lie! I turned on “Today,” and within minutes saw Meredith Vieira apologizing about J-Fon “saying a word you don’t say on TV.” There was no real political or salacious intent behind it, Fonda was just describing the name of a “Vagina Monologues” bit she was asked to perform. But surely the anti-Fonda weirdos stuck in the “Hanoi Jane” mentality are seeing this as the latest example of the seditious influence she still has on all that’s good and sweet about American society. Me, I just think celebrities swearing on TV is funny. This is on the heels of Diane Keaton saying a different curse word on “Good Morning America,” meaning that older actresses swearing on network morning shows is now officially an epidemic.
