ABC gives ‘Lost’ and ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ finales extra hours
Friday, April 11th, 2008 by Albert ChingThe Ausiello Report reports that, as rumored earlier in the week, ABC is giving “Lost” an extra hour to wrap up its strike-(slightly) shortened fourth season. It’ll be three hours in total, playing out over two weeks (one hour on May 15, two on May 29). So it’s a total of 14 hours for “Lost” this season, and they were only planning on 16 episodes, so we’re not getting all that short-changed due to the strike (showrunners Damon Lindeloff and Carlton Cuse had gone on record saying they’d hope to make up the “missing” three episodes at some point, this is certainly an awesome first step).
Due in part to the wacky schedule shakeup, “Grey’s Anatomy” is also getting a three hour season finale, starting with an hour on May 15, and two on May 22.
