ABC goes dumpster diving

At this point, we’ve got everything but an official announcement that “Scrubs” will air its final season on ABC in the fall. Kristin from E! seems pretty positive it’ll happen, for instance. Great news to be sure. But that’s not all! Word comes today from TV Guide that “The New Adventures of Old Christine” might be headed to ABC as well, should CBS cancel the show.
This isn’t quite as exciting as the “Scrubs” news, at least not for me, but should make the “Old Christine” fans out there happy (I know you’re out there). I lambasted the show when it first came out (I’m trying to find the link to my review of it, but it’s apparently faded into the online ether), but there have been times recently when I’ve considered anything from “fair” to “pleasant.” It won an Emmy and all that, and it’s really not any worse (and is in fact, better) than a lot of stuff CBS puts on, so this move makes sense.
